POST issue t7920

Question

Hello all. My t7920 is experiencing some issues documented here (https://www.dell.com/community/Precision-Fixed-Workstations/Dell-precision-7920-t7920-issue-with-Dell-Ultraspeed-card/td-p/8164275). Every time I power up the computer by pressing the power button, (a) the computer starts -POST process-  then (b) it shutdown unsafely before boot (i.e, a loud clicking noise upon automatic shutdown - hdd's completely stop all of sudden-  which is exactly similar to the shutdowns when you exit the BIOS) and (c) then it restarts automatically. This loop happens for several cycles, and finally the computer can past the POST process and boots to Windows  My question is that: can these unsafe shutdown during POST (before boot) can damage my HDD's and SSD's and the data stored in them in the long run?

For starters I would suggest running diagnostics (tap F12 immediately at boot). It sounds like drive problems so watch for any drive errors. Of course if you are having drive problems then the data on the drives could be in jeopardy anyway. I would suggest backing up the drives as a precaution.

There is no issue with the drives. They are new. Diagnostics is clean. This is more of a BIOS issue.

My question is that: can these unsafe shutdown during POST (before boot) can damage my HDD's and SSD's and the data stored in them in the long run?
