power supply specs

For some time now I have always wondered about the labeling on AC to DC power supplies. If it is rated input at 100-240 volts ac at 1.8A is the 1.8A at 100 vac or 240vac?

    does not matter.  Dell oem psu converts AC of either 100 or 240 to same DC voltage and same current
