Precision 3260 GPU Upgrade
Hi,
Just purchased a precision 3260 compact workstation and would like to add a discrete GPU option. I understand that the A2000 low profile card may work and what I believe will work for me. It appears that to install I'll need a special graphics riser. Is this a special Dell item and/or how do I order? Lastly, my refurbished unit shipped with a 180w power supply. At what point will this need to be upgraded? Current configuration is I7 with 64mb ram (ultimately).

I have the same issue, and it appears that it is in fact a Dell proprietary riser.

In my original build sheet, it was optioned out/built without it.
I did call and talk with sales, and the closest I got was it may be part number 4KPM3.
....and yes, you will need the 240W power supply. CPU=75W, Fan=60-80W, A2000 GPU = 70W
@DELL-Cares please help us find this part Thank you!!

Did you get an answer on the part number? I purchased a system without a GPU as I already had a T1000 GPU that I was going to install. I didn't find this post until after I had received the unit and found it didn't include the riser. A bit disappointed that the device didn't come with a riser, I would be happy to pay for the part.
I have sent an email to parts but haven't received a response

For those looking to upgrade a Dell Precision 3260 which shipped without a GPU riser card + support bracket, the following part numbers are required
Bracket for riser card = HRTR8
Riser Card = FW37C
You will need your own screws to mount the bracket to the rear chassis
I ordered these parts from Dell, had to contact them a couple of times to check when they had stock, but the persistence paid off and I can now mount a GPU.
If you are looking to upgrade the CPU, the 80W heatsink = KR9CY
