Precision 3260, RTX A2000, BIOS 1.7.3, not working

Dell Precision 3260 with  240W power adapter,  I upgrade graphics cad from NVIDIA T600 to NVIDIA A2000. OS Version Win11 2022 H2, graphic driver R525 U1 (526.67)

It Works well before upgrading BIOS from 1.6.0 to 1.73 .After upgrading,  graph card completely not working, Window

login screen crashes directly and reboot automatically. Login to the system using  integrated graphics card,as long as the application uses the A2000 graph card, OS will restart with a blue screen

Does your machine have issue or lock up at boot?  I would not update a BIOS just because it shows status "critical".  Check and only update if it may fix an ongoing issue with your machine.  This new BIOS may resolve issues as described below:

Fixes & Enhancements

- Fixed the issue where the system stops responding at the Dell logo while booting.
- Fixed the issue where the system stops responding when the system boots to the operating system.
- Fixed the issue where Reboot Bypass does not work after rebooting the system. This issue occurs when you set Password Bypass from Disable to Reboot Bypass in the BIOS setup menu and install Dell Command Monitor (DCM) version 10.7.0.232.

So you don't update the bios when security vulnerabilities (CVE) are patched? Cause that's why so many updates are released.

Not never ever, I am not just rushing to run BIOS update because it says critical, but I would more likely to update it to fix an issue of performance.  Everyone use their machines differently, so whichever preference practice will work for you, follow yours.

For enterprises and corporates uses, you won't have control over patches or updates.  For personal and home uses, CVE risks and impacts are generally minimal.  One must weight the benefits over the risks and decide for themself.  I would feel bad if you bricked your machine by following my advice.

For example, this is a most recent post with issue regarding BIOS update https://www.dell.com/community/Precision-Fixed-Workstations/Remove-Hard-Drive-not-Found-warning-message-and-continue-booting/td-p/8338960/jump-to/first-unread-message?ref=lithium_acptsoln

Very well said. For good part of the vulnerabilities fixed, there's not even a single real attack too. And even if there would be, the focus would be on corporations, not single users.

All those patches impact the performance of the cpu, and not in a positive way. Plus if using windows, windows itself adopted a set of workarounds for good part of those specific issues, if I'm not mistaken ( at least the whole spectre and meltdown bandwagon was also fully addressed at os level )

I recently purchased a 3260 and I am running the latest BIOS. I have installed a A2000 12GB GPU with similar modifications shown above and the GPU has worked fine, I haven't pushed it hard yet as I am working through an issue with upgrading the 12th Gen CPU to a 13th Gen Core i9.
