Precision 7920 Tower stuck on 'System Scan in Progress' - Testing memory

Question

I have to manually connect a monitor and keyboard to hit ESC to stop the testing in order for it to boot properly. But each time I try and reboot it goes back to the same system scan.

Also I can not attach a monitor with a DP -> DVI dongle. It has to be a DP -> DP cable.

3 thing to try: Replace size 2032 CMOS battery.  Bad batteries 5+ years old cause bizarre and seemingly unrelated problems.  It also affects BIOS. Go into F12 Boot & Diagnostics menu and run Diagnostics.  May be the RAM or a RAM module is stating to fail. Test RAM modules 1 at a time and see if that finds the culprit.
