RDIMM for T3620

Hello.

Im using T3620(xeon e3-1240 v5). I buy Samsung 8G RAM 2133Mhz(ECC) in market.

the RAM was not working with my T3620. just power LED is blinking. and no beep sound.

in the manual, i found that T3620 support ECC. but my T3620 is working witn non-ECC.

is there any reason for this?

At the Crucial site here, they indicate both ECC and NON-ECC RAM as compatible. I suspect the problem lies more in the Samsung being non-compatible RAM. Dell systems are very picky about compatible RAM and the most compatible is Crucial.

2133 is too slow.  2666 and 2933 ram works fine 1.2v non XMP.  Must be Low Density INTEL compatible ram.

Thanks for that information. I assume the user was going by the specs here which call for 2133 RAM.

    Hi @pribobo,

Though this thread is a few months old, a new post made it pop up again.

If not already, be sure not to mix ECC and non-ECC RAM.
