Supported Memory in Dell Precision 7920 Tower
Good evening,
could you please clarify if the 7920 Tower supports the following RDIMM RAM: MFG Part: M393A1K43BB1-CTD6Q. We have installed RAM modules but the computer does not turn on (even when only 2 are installed w/o the original memory).

I Googled that part number. One would think the RAM should work. If it's not working, best bet is to return it.
A couple of things to try in the meantime:
- Test or replace the size 2032 CMOS battery.
- Make sure you have the latest BIOS that's for the 7920.

Dell systems can be picky about the make and type of RAM installed. For the best compatibility Crucial has always been the go to retailer and that site can be found here.
