Thank you very much, Tesla856!

Since the adapter can hold up to four NVMe M.2 SSDs, can each SSD be different sizes (capacity-wise)?  Can each NVMe M.2 SSD be mounted as separate volumes or do they have to be grouped together into one volume?

Not sure why you would think it didn't, but YES ... it does .

Pros:
Very quiet cooling system, even under load
Easy to service chassis with tool-less power supplies
PCIe flash SSD exceptionally geared towards sustained enterprise workloads
Supports booting from PCIe SSD

I'm sure that the Dell unit is nice, but keep in mind that you can get a single nvme pcie adapter for pretty cheap.  Also, the bandwidth through the Dell pcie card is limited (I don't think that you get x16 speeds).  In fact, the ultraspeed quad does plug into an x16 slot, but you need bifurcation to get x4 speeds from each of the 4 nvme cards.  A single nvme is also bandwidth limited.  The simple card costs about 15 bucks, the Dell unit costs ~$255 (~$200 used).

Czy każda karta M.2 pozwala na zainstalowanie systemu operacyjnego?

Mam kartę: PCIe 4.0 x16 na M.2 NVMe.
