about the onboard graphic ports, is correct. You need to use one of the xeons that include on the die the intel gpu option, otherwise you will have no video from the DP ports on the motherboard.
About the ram, Dell units can be a bit picky sometimes so.... ensure 1) that the vendor has the model in their configurator and 2) that they have no issues exchanging or returning if what they write to be working ends not.
@Ervin80 there's no official list, since Dell sells rams directly.
Some brands allow to search by computer model, and offer a list of supported products ( like kingston, or crucial > Crucial Advisor tool | Crucial.com ), others you have to do your homework

Where can I find the configurator? Or support list of brands? Motherbords like Gygabite heve such lists but here I dont find any of this lists.
