upgrade RAM Memory

Question

Currently I have a Dell precision 7920 tower with 384GB of RAM (12x32GB). I would like to upgrade to double or more RAM if possible. One option I want to pursue is placing 128GB modules, so I can have future possibilities of moving to higher RAM. What configuration would you recommend in this case?From what I understand, my current configuration will be D384R (from the matrix memory), and if moving to 128GB modules I see I will be moving into something which is LRDIMM, will this imply an issue?

Yes, you can select 128 GB in your upgrade plan.  Which matrix to use will depend on single CPU or dual CPU system.  See the DIMM slot locations and memory matrix below.
