Bug: BIOS version 1.6.2 Precision 7550 - performance issues

Question

Hi, I want to report a bug with latest BIOS version for the Dell Precision 7550 (version 1.6.2, released 12th of January 2021): when both the A/C cord and the docking station WD19TB are connected, the performance of the station are poor. CPU limited to 800MHz (haven't checked if the GPU is restrained too). This problem does not occur: if only one of the power supply is connected (A/C cord without Thunderbolt doc or Thunderbolt without A/C cord). Performances are better with only the dock connected without A/C despite the warning at boot time. with the previous BIOS release (version 1.5.1). Regards.

Thanks for working with our team and confirming what the resolution was.

The fix for this was to flash the dock again, then after the flash is complete to reseat the power cable to dock, and then the last step was to flash the system BIOS.
