Dell Precision 7520 to Dell Precision 7510 exchanging CPU and GPU
Hi, I have 2 laptops Dell Precision 7520 ( i7 gen7, GPU Nvidia Quadro m2200) Dell Precision 7510 ( i7 gen6, GPU Nvidia Quadro m1000m)
Is it possible to put Nvidia Quadro m2200 into Dell Precision 7510 ?
Can I exchange CPUs? (from 7520 to 7510) or if its impossible to replace just a CPU can i replace motherboard?
My dell precision 7510 has some cool features like touch screen and LTE modem that's why I don't want to use 7520.

Honestly, if both machines work... It would be easier to pull the Screen Assembly (Lid), LTE Card and SIM Card then install them into the 7520.
Both use exactly the same chassis, and all of the internal plugs are the same.

The M2200 should almost certainly work in a 7510 given I have installed an Nvidia GTX965M 4GB (half-size) in mine
The Precision Bioses doesn't seem to prevent you trying different cards, but whether there is an OEM driver is a different matter ...
Hints:
1. Leave Optimus / switachable graphics ON in case the Bios doesn't recognise the card, so you can still boot via Intel Graphics. If its like my GTX965M, worst case it may load an M2200 card as "Microsoft Basic Display Adaptor" without a 3D driver
2. If you find Dell OEM NVidia drivers (from either 7510 or 7520 - try both) don't recognise the card, "Driver Booster" by Iobit has a happy knack of finding/installing a compatible driver that will work and will get you started. I have experienced this on a Precision M4700 (swapped in a Radeon 5100M card) and Precision 7510 (swapped in an NVidia GTX965M)
No idea on swapping CPUs or motherboards, gut feeling is that might get ... complex!
What's the LTE modem have in your 7510 btw?

Honestly, messing around with swapping CPUs and/or motherboards sounds a lot of work for not so much gain?
For day-to-day performance/responsiveness you might achieve more in practical terms by playing around with a tool like "Quick CPU" (I enabled SpeedShift - hardware level CPU throttling - on my E3-1535 Xeons for example) and minimised Latency (which is a lot of messing around and trial-and-error with a tool like "LatencyMon" to make sure Chipset/Graphics/Audio/power driver versions are compatible at a kernal level - hint ... they often aren't!!)
Swapping screens as a "unit" (touchscreen 7510 > 7520) should work too, but I had to buy a new cable when I added a Dell OEM 4K screen into my 7510 - the screen connection on the panel-side was 40-pin on the 4K vs 30-pin for a 1920 screen. The motherboard connection is likely fine, but do check it out before you leap into it
