I have a very bad history with the Precision 5560 hinges. After 1 year + 5 months use, the hinges started creaking. When I open this laptop, the plastic black cover of the speakers rises - it's about the headphone connector on the left and the charging socket (left and right sides). The hinge screws seem to be tightened too much and when the cover is opened, the hinges lift the speaker covers. The whole thing creaks terribly and I feel a bit ashamed when I open the laptop in front of the client. These are the sounds of the door of a very old wardrobe. I turned to the service with a repair request under the Next Business Day warranty, they wrote back that, here is a quote: "Problems with the functioning of the computer resulting, among others, from wear and tear of the computer are not covered by the terms of the service contract".
