I had the same problem with my Dell Precision 7510 randomly shutting down. What I figured out was that the CPU was overheating as it had been running high fan speeds for quite some time while doing small tasks, than I updated to windows 10 and the driver update that was supposed to make it run quieter was not keeping up with cooling down the CPU.
The solution is to get new thermal paste between the CPU and Heat Sink. I took my machine apart and cleaned out the old thermal paste and reapplied with new high quality paste after which it has been running perfectly.
I installed Intel Power Gadget to monitor CPU heat and with the old paste I saw spikes of 100°c which is as high as the Gadget Displays, Fan running High Speed and a shut down right after event.
With the new Paste the highest spike I have seen is 64°c and I have not seen fan speed reach High Speed.
Haven't been running very long on new paste so I don't know if it is a long term solution but looking good so far......
Yes @Martinikene I am also facing the same problem on my Dell precision 1750 2016, my laptop automatically shuts off when I start a game or game engine.
You can try fully resetting your laptop to fix the issue, but you will need to re-install windows and recreate the accounts present on the laptop.
