Precision 7860, P2723QE, Type-C 4K resolution question

I currently have a Dell XPS-15 (9570) laptop that is connected to a Dell P2723 QE (Type-C) Monitor. Both are 4K (3840 x2160) Resolution.

I need to upgrade my laptop to a newer model due to Photoshop/Lightroom Classic performance issues.

I'm  looking to purchase a Dell Precision 7860 Workstation that is also 4K, its resolution is "3840 x 2400".

My questions is: Can I use my current Dell 4K (3840 x 2160) monitor with Precision 7860 4K (3840 x 2400) workstation.

Will the monitor default to the "3840 x 2160" when connected to the "3840 x 2400" workstation?

Thank You.

I take it that it has Win11 Pro.  Whether Win10 or Win11, Windows will automatically adjust for the monitor.  It'll automatically have the correct driver.

If the monitor were to have a higher resolution than what the PC or GPU card can deliver, then there's an issue.
