1250c Solid Yellow Exclamation Mark

3 of our 10 printers are currently showing this. Error code:

009-654-0x02110000

It recommends restarting the printer or contacting Dell support, giving no other information. Of course restarting the printer and changing everything within the printer makes no difference. Can someone provide the fix?

Hi Jut35,

While I find out what this error code is all about, let us know if the service software, drivers and firmware are updated as I suggested in the above post.

Dell Support told us:  "Per the error you are having the sensor has failed on the printer". They said they had to replace the printer. 3/10 of our 1250c printers did this to us. It appears Dell doesn't care about the failure rate; talked to our account rep and they offered to sell us new printers.

I can't imagine this is anything less than a product issue. 3 out of 10 of our printers failed with this error in well under 2 years. Based on other people quickly reporting the same issue after starting this thread I can't help but think that the product line is defective.

Thankfully I still have 1 month left on the warranty so I'n hopefult that once all options here are explored they will just arrange to take it back and repair it, although I'll need a replacement in the meantime so I'll see if they will just replace.

Hi Jamie

Yes definitely Jamie. I would suggest you to remove the Print Head Drum (PHD) and clean all the contacts. Try to clean up the toner residue as well. Reinstall PHD and check for any error. To remove the PHD please follow this link which has the manual

Reply with your findings.

Hi, thanks for your response, unfortunately, the link you provided is for another printer, not the 1250c that I have, can you provide another link please.

Many thanks

Jamie
