944 AIO printer
I have a new Dell Inspiron 2020 running 8.1 and an old Dell Photo 944 AIO printer but the old printer won't work w/the new computer. The Dell site says it does not have /make a printer driver for my printer although I read that other people have used a Vista Printer Driver to make this printer work. I need help as cannot get any from Dell!!!!! would very much appreciate hearing from all who have had this problem and what their solution is ASAP. Thanks, Lynn

Likewise I could really do with help on this issue, have an acer Windows 7 computer but I am getting the same troubleshoot that I cant seem to resolve. I would be very grateful for any help, Thanks, Mir

Lynn and trixie4444,
First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.
Disconnect the printer.
Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.
Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal
Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 8.1 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 8.1 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode You'll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on).
