Got more information after the 4th call to Brother support. When you plug in the printer it is suppose to show USB Composite Device, USB Printing Support and USB Mass Storage under Universal Serial Bus Controllers. Which they do not. Now I am on the warpath to find where and how I can update the drivers and or system board for the Dell.

***Update for everyone***

Called Dell and we completely updated the motherboard drivers. Tried the Brother again with the exact same results. Dell advised I call back Brother and try another route. E-mail Brother and was told to do the EXACT same process we had done four times before. When I replied they told me to call Brother support so they could try more advanced troubleshooting.

Boxed up the printer and took it back to the store. Going to get another Printer and see what it does.

Purchases an HP and tried to setup the printer this morning. Half way through the installation it gave me a USB.inf error and exited setup. So its safe to say the configuration on the DELL is causing my problem. Going to research this model and printer problems and see what I find.

Okay Solved this problem! It looks like the USB.inf file was missing from C:\windows\INF folder. It was on my computer but in C:\I386. For some reason it was missing and so it would not install the correct USB functions needed for the printer! This is why the Brother did not work either. Hopefully this will help someone else! Here is a link that HP.
