I cannot print to my A920 via a shared printer connection. The printer works fine locally but not over a network share. It seems like a driver issue. This is in a workgroup setting with XP Professional sp 1a. When trying to print over the network to the 920, the job sits in the que, and the computer sharing the 920 becomes unusable and needs rebooting. I can't even get the print job to delete. It ends up just saying "Deleting - Printing".
1) If I try to delete the job, it won't delete like I mentioned before. But, if I reboot my computer then the print job will print as soon as I log in.
2) If I don't delete the job and then reboot, when I log in the print job will say "Paused". When I click resume, it will print correctly.
Thanks for the reply Pratlong. I renamed the executable file (I have a 920, so I renamed DLBKJSWX.exe). I found that the print job will work correctly if and only if I have the Dell Printer Solution Center window open. I open this by double clicking the little printer icon in my system tray. If I don't open the Dell Printer Solution Center, then the print job will just stay in the queue indefinately. I've emailed Dell support about this several times and they just keep sending me links to Microsoft web sites on how to setup Printer Sharing, which is very frustrating. This is obviously a driver/software issue, not a printer setup issue. Any ideas?
