Connecting scanner to Computer

My Dell printer is a combination printer and scanner. My IT guy recently wiped my computer (I was hacked) and reinstalled while upgrading me to Windows 10 (I think. Whatever the latest number is). I am still able to print with the printer so the driver is still there. However, whereas before I had a Dell icon (app?) which I could click on to Scan, it is no longer there. When I try to scan from the printer itself to the computer it is unable to do so. The printer is wireless. I am not very tech savvy, but would appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks.
