Dell c1760nw Error 124-333

Hi, this printer has been going fine for 4 years printing from a Linux laptop. Just connected to a Win 7 laptop and tried to print a test page but got error 124-333 and message to restart. Restarted loads of times but same error remains.

I guess the OS thing is just a coincidence, web search suggest some type of hardware failure.

Any ideas? I cannot even get the covers off to check cables etc, hope my lovely printer is not dead but I fear the worst.
