You'll need to replace the controller module, p/n TG817. You should be able to order from Dell spare parts..... sorry, I don't have the phone number.

Try this:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • At the left side of the printer is a door. Open it sliding it to the rear and then pulling it to the left and down.
  • Carefuly remove the memory module.
  • Turn on the printer and check if the problem is solved.
  • If so, turn off the printer again, reinsert the memory module, and turn it on again.
  • It may be solved.

Dell technical support says it may be a random error that is solved this way, or it may be a warning that something more serious is about to fail, and they urge you to buy a guarantee extension.

I hope this is useful for you.
