Dell Photo 964 All in One Printer
I am new at this wireless or blue tooth technology. I would like to know if I can turn my printer into a wireless printer. I have a new Studio 17 laptop with 6 g of Ram. How can I make the printer wireless and still be connected to my old Dell Dimension 8400 with Window XP? Or can I change the 8400 to wireless also? The Studio 17 is Window Vista Premium. Thank you in advance for the help!

sandy8156,
You need to have a wireless router for your internet, first.
For the Dimension, if it sits near the wireless router, you can plug into that. The setup should look like...
wall > isp modem/router > Wireless Router > wired/wireless
As for the 964 printer, ues you can make it wireless by using a Dell Wireless Printer Adapter 3300 <ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell> or some type of wireless print server. To install the drivers for the 964 printer, you will need to post in the Dell Printers Forum, as the printer drivers on a Vista machine are a little tricky to install but I have my 964 printer working with a 3300 and I too, have a Studio 1737. I have no problems printing, scanning and copying.
Your wireless network will need these Recommended Wireless Router Settings, then you will need to setup the wireless print server, then the printer. The Dimension 8400 and any other computer(s) you have on your wireless network will need to install the printer drivers in order to have them print to the printer.(I have 5 laptops printing to the 964)
