Dell V525w Printer Is No Longer Working

We purchased a new computer with a Dell V525w printer over a month ago. The printer installed correctly via wireless and everything worked great, but all of the sudden it will not stay connected via wireless and the computer will not find it at all on the device list. After 3 hours of trying to get it to work via help and troubleshooting tools, I have given up. I have uninstalled, re-installed, tried all of the wireless tricks, but to no avail. My wireless network does show it is connected, but don't know why it all of the sudden stopped working. I have the McAfee virus software that came with the computer running, so I don't know if that is the culprit.

Hi Jsmcc,

As you mentioned you spent considerable amount of time (almost 3 hours) troubleshooting using “Troubleshooting Tools”, I assume you have tried most of the troubleshooting we would recommend. However, this online troubleshooting manual has helped many users with wireless printer issues. This manual is specific to “Dell V525w AIO Inkjet Printers”. Please go through it by clicking here. As you suspect McAfee anti-virus might be interfering with the network, you can check the “Computer Firewall is Blocking Communication with the Printer” section on the page. If the issue still persists please feel free to get back to us, we will assist you further.

I want to return this product. I should have never purchased a dell wireless printer. It will not stay connected to the network now after 2 months after purchase and the computer does not recognize it even when it is briefly connected. All of the troubleshooting answers did not work. I give up. It has been 10 HOURS working on fixing this problem and email and chat is not available from Dell which is not a shocker. What are we to do now after spending money on this obvious faulty product??????????????????????????????????????????????????

Jsmcc,

You can try reading...

Troubleshooting Network Problems on the Dell V525w and V725w AIO Inkjet Printers

Troubleshooting Setup for the Dell 525w and 725w AIO Inkjet Printers

and

Troubleshooting Print Quality for the Dell V525w and V725w AIO Inkjet Printers

Can you run Network Interface and post that information back here. I'll see what I can do to get the printer connected to your network.
