Hi CarolynKay,
What is the operating system/Printer Model?
Try the below steps and let us know if it works.
Start > Run then type services.msc > OK > Open the services and look for Print Spooler > Right click the Print Spooler > Properties > Click on Recovery tab and change all 3 drop-down boxes to Restart The Services
