E525w, scanner problem

I have a Dell E525w multi-functional printer. It is rarely used and the warranty just expired.  There is a fussy vertical strip about an inch wide on scanned image.  It only happens for scanning and copying and does not happen for printing.  Does anyone know any Dell repair service facility in Atlanta area?

Thank you for helping!

No but I'm experiencing the exact same issue, literally 1 month after the warranty  expired....but luckily I bought a squaretrade four year on this

I would be very grateful if you could let me know how you fix the problem (such as which part to replace).

Thanks,

Yan

I have a similar problem as well.  Was a fix ever provided?  I’d like to know how to fix as well.

Same here. Funny thing is, it switches sides when I use the glass vs automatic feeder, so seems more likely a software rather than a hardware problem. Dell punted because it was out of warranty. Even updating to the most recent firmware did not solve this problem. I’m inclined not to buy Dell again for printer/scanner given this experience.

DELL HELLO - are you moderating this conversation? I also have this issue.

Please advise how to repair the unit which all seem to be failing.

Thanks and hope to hear from Dell here or to my email inquiry
