i got a new computer a couple of months ago and hooked it up to a 5 year old 3110cn printer, but i can't seem to figure out how to find the printer status anymore.

so i can see how much toner i have left...i used to be able to go to the printer, right mouse click on printer properties and then click on status, but this computer says can't find printer??? even though i have been using it since we got the new computer, any help would be greatly appreciated, 'chatted' with 3 people so far today and no one has been able to help - drivers are up to date...
