I purchased a new Dell cn3100 and it works very well except one thing. If I would like to remotely configure the printer using the tool that has been included with the standard drivers, I cannot change any settings. It does ask about a userid and password.

 

It tells that the userid will be admin (or admin.) but I do not know what the password is.

 

Is there a standard password or a function to reset this setting?

 

The funny thing is, that I can change the password in the security settings of the printer itself, but if I try to connect to the printer using this password it, is rejected.

 

Any ideas?
