SOLVED Dell 2150cn code 016-757 - User Account Not Registered

This problem is related to ColorTrack printing permissions. ColorTrack restricts which users can send print jobs to the printer. 

If the windows account you are using is not registered with the printer you get this error.

To solve it:

Turn off ColorTrack.

At panel control panel:

Menu

admin menu

system settings

colortrack mode

choose OFF

checkmark to save setting

turn printer off, then back on again.

OR

Allow users without an account to print:

At panel control panel:

Menu

admin menu

system settings

NoAcctUserPrt

On

press checkmark to save setting

printer off

printer on

OR

if you desire to keep COlorTrack on, 

in Windows, control panel, printers, open printer property page, click tab "configuration"

and the windows username & their password to the list of authorized users.

when they send a print job, their windows credentials will be sent to the printer and matched against this list of authorized users.
