"An error occured" while creating the rescue disk.
I wanted to create a back up disk so i used Dell Back up and recovery option from My Dell. 11.88Gb was to be used so it required 3 Dvds(4.7gb). After writing the 1st DVD, during the verification part, the disk was ejected and the screen showed the error message-"an error occurred" at the base. I presume there are some issues with the software. I can't continue the back up from that part.
I get this same error as mentioned by the OP and have the newest version of the backup and recovery. I'll keep searching, maybe the answer is somewhere else. I don't want to use a USB stick, but suppose I could give it a try.

Ensure that you have installed the latest version as its continually being improved to address bugs:

Use a USB stick opposed to a set of DVDs.
