Dell Backup & Recovery Factory Backup problem
Hi
Today, I was prompted to create a Factory Backup disk. I opted to use DVD, placed a DVD in the drive and started the process. The 'creating media' part finished successfully and reported the size as being just over 5GB. The program noted that 2xDVD would be required.
The issue is that the process has not requested the second disk.
I don't know if the process has failed or if it is genuinely taking several hours to write a disk.
Can anyone shed some light on this, please?

Thanks for replying. Sorry, the disk was not just over 5GB, the amount of data to be written was just over 5GB. I have connected a USB DVD writer as the built-in DVD drive appears to be faulty - it won't eject or close properly and I reckon this is the reason the program appeared to stall.
I'm writing the data now and can see green ticks in the initialise disk and collecting files entries, so I hope it will be successful this time.

Typical DVD capacity is 4.7GB.
I would suggest trying with another DVD.
Most of the DVD blanks on the market are junk. The made-in-Japan good stuff is only sold online.
