Dell Media Experience and Net Framework 2.0

I recently updated to 2.0 of Net Framework on my XPS, and now the Dell Media Experience software won't launch. Do I revert back to 1.0, or can DME be updated?

Did you uninstall the previous version?  .Net Framework 2.0 coexists with .Net Framework 1.0 or 1.1 - installing 2.0 does not remove version 1 automatically, and it is not a direct replacement or upgrade.  Any program requiring version 1 cannot run under 2.0 (and vice versa) and will still require the matching version of .Net Framwork installed on the system.

Nope.  Net Framework 1.1 and hotfix are still there.  I did uninstall 2.0 to see what would happen, but DMX still won't launch.  How can I reinstall DMX?

If you don't have the DMX setup CD and you are still under warranty, you can request one sent to you.  See the FAQ pinned to the top of this Board.

Thanks for your help.  For some reason DMX is now functioning...I didn't even reboot but there it is.  Apparently, DMX and .net 2.0 are not peaceful coexisters.

I'll order the CD just in case for next time.  Thanks again.
