Install Office Profesional on 2nd slave hard drive?

My computer is a Dimension 4300 which was purchased in 2001. It came with Microsoft Works Suite and came with with Word 2000.  Since then I have added a 2nd hard drive which I use as a slave drive which has 2 partitions. The one partition I use for ghost image backups and the second partition I use for media type files, mainly pictures. My master drive now is about 80% full. My XP home operating system is on the master drive. I want to purchase Office Professional 2003 and I would like to know that since my master drive is filling up, can I install Office on my slave drive and will there be any problems doing so?

TheDude_jim,

You should have no problem with the installation you propose.

Thank you Mr. Denham,

I just wasn't sure if Office had to be on the same hard drive, or even the same partition on the drive, as the operating system.

But of course the installation will write into the registry and in Documents and settings applications subfolders on your OS partition. So if you ever have to reinstall your OS you will also have to reinstall Office, whichever partition or drive you install it on.
