I have a Dell XPS, purchased May 2011 with "FF292 SOFTWARE : MICROSOFT OFFICE STARTER: RED" pre-installed.

For years I have used this product.....until a few months ago when suddenly I could open excel and word files via document manager - for no apparent reason I now only see a yellow file and when I click to open, I am prompted with an option to buy Microsoft Outlook...
Not too much of an issue as I could open the relevant programme and then open the documents no problem.
Today I have tried to open Excel and get this message...
"Microsoft Excel Starter 2010 cannot be opened. Try again or repair the product in Control Panel." I have tried the troubleshoot options and done a restore to a day when I know it worked but still no joy....any suggestions appreciated....
