Thanks Speedstep.
That is an obvious answer, but unfortunately, is doesn't do the job under windows 10. MS Office doesn't show up in the list of things you can remove. Any further thoughts?
Thanks again.

Instead of launching the apps do a RMB on them and select uninstall. It's strange they don't show up under Apps and Features.

If you never purchased Office, all you have is the 30 day trial version. That will be gone after 30 days of nagging you to buy it.
On the listing for your model--

Thanks, Speedstep.
That seems simple enought but it is complicated by not having Windows 10 Apps on my start menu.

The trial office that comes with windows 10 is definitely on the start menu.
Non 10 apps will show up in add remove programs.
You cannot install a version of office lower than 2010.
2000, 2002, 2003, 2007 office will not work or install on windows 10.
You also have to remove any other office components like one note etc before attempting to install 2010 2013 2016 office.
There is a tool but I've never seen it work ever
Office 365, Office 2019, Office 2016, Office 2013, Office 2010, or Office 2007.
Download the automated tool.
https://aka.ms/diag_officeuninstall
At the bottom of the browser window, select Open to open the o15-ctrremove.diagcab file. Note: If the file doesn't open automatically, choose Save > Open Folder, and then double-click the o15-ctrremove.diagcab file.
When the Uninstall Microsoft Office wizard launches, click Next.
When the Uninstallation successful screen appears, follow the prompt to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. Select Next.
Restart your computer.

It definitely is not on my Start Menu. It may have bben there at first but not now. Word, Excel and One not are. If I unistall them individually will that free up the space that they took and let me install Office again with no problems?
Thanks again.

You have corrupted install. If you clean install windows 10 the trial version will go back on. Dell does not support Microsoft office or windows applications.
You will not get a new "KEY" for windows or for Office from Dell or users on the forum.
If your machine was purchased with Office and not a trial the Key will be on a Microsoft Product Identifier card.

Short answer: Remove all with the name "Microsoft 365"
In my Dell, there were the following items under "Uninstall or change a program" (appwiz.cpl) list.
I removed en-us and the next time I launched Word user interface had changed to German. Looks good so far.
Then I removed the remaining Microsoft 365s. Tada! It's gone!
