Outlook, lost data
I've always kept a lot of information in the Inbox folder in my Outlook mailbox on Optiplex. It was several dozen contacts, records in calendars and confidential messages. Today, something happened, because of which almost half of the data disappeared.

Some triggers which can cause corruption Outlook recovery online
1. Corruption of PST file can be caused by virus infection or human or software errors specially when the file is opened and modified incorrectly.
2. Improper shutdown of the system before exiting the Outlook application.
3. It also happens when the PST exceeds the size of 2GB. When this error happens, the PST file cannot be found and Outlook will not synchronize.

Very bad idea to store files in your Inbox since it is a dynamic folder that changes constantly. Just make new folders and move mail to them to deal with later or to store forever. Also download Outlook Backup to use with older versions of Office's Outlook. You should already have a Contacts folder that is much safer to use.
Always include your version of Office Outlook when posting.
