The strangest thing happens when I try to print from excel. The print is real large and distorded. I basicly trying to print 2 columns of text. The printer works fine in Micrsoft Word and every other program. When I view the document under print view it looks fine. I keep thinking something is set wrong in the Excel document itself. I am very much a beginner with Excel. Anyone out there have a clue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Boy this must of confused more than just me. I got no replys. I do have an update to my problem. I got it to print correctly by printing one page at a time. While doing this I noticed I have double the amount of pages this document is. I other words the doc is 5 pages long but when I look at print veiw it is 10 pages with 5 pages blank. Whats up with that? I figure this has something to do with the printing problem. How can I fix it?
In Excel, did you use set print area, to select the part of the sheet you want to print? Also, Excel prints pages in a particular order. Say that the page width is filled by columns A to E and rows 1 to 30 (just an example, of course, iyt depends on your column widths and margin settings); then it will fitst print columns A to E, rows 1 to 30 on page 1, rows 31 t0 60 on page 2, etc. until it comes to the last row with data in it. Then it goes to columns F to J (say, rows 1 to 30, etc.
So depending on how your sheet is laid out, you might well get empty pages. After setting print area, use print preview to see how it will look and adjust column widths, margins, etc.
In print, you can also choose in page set up, to adjust the size of the printing to fit one or more pages.
