Remove Alienware Mobile connect update notifications
I updated to the new alienware mobile connect and found it to be inferior to version 3.3 .
I deleted it and reinstalled 3.3, but now I am getting notifications to update to the new version everytime I use it.
Is there a way I can remove these notifications?

What kind of notifications are you getting? If they’re in the taskbar just set it to priority only. If it’s the actual app I think you can configure if it says it needs an update.

there is no way to disable it. pressing the x 600 million times is not helpful.
I was hoping someone would know a or registry mod or another way to block the app from checking for an update online.
The app itself is in a folder on the C drive that is secured by system, even as an admin I cannot access it.

do you have any other drives in the system that you could install it on?

I have the same issue. I keep getting the annoying upgrade notices. I tried Alienware Mobile Connect 4 and it is simply awful. I do not wish to be harassed to use an app that is terrible. Is there a way to stop the app from harassing me?

I did not think about that.
I will try it and report back.

intalling the new one also does not work - the update notices are still there.

did you guys try to install the one that you liked better instead of the new one? And maybe @Dell-BradL can help out.

Yes - when the new one became available a banner appeared in the old software that covers you messages. The new one is no good.

The new sofware takes a long time to connect to the phone, and it drops connection repeatedly. The old one works perfectly.

I'm not sure if it's completely clear or not, but as I also have this problem, I will explain how it works for me.
I have Alienware Mobile Connect 3.3 installed. It's been installed since I configured the computer after receiving it. I've had it a couple of weeks now. Regardless, even though it's installed and I use it all the time, the program appears in the Windows Store as something I need to download. I've tried to hide it in the Windows Store to no avail. Beyond that, every time I need to do other Windows Store updates, it successfully installs all my other updates, but errors out on Alienware Mobile Connect 3.3 which I already have installed and successfully running.
No other application does this. Since the inception of the Windows Store I have never had any other application behave this way.
If I were grasping at straws I'd guess that there is something that Alienware Mobile Connect 3.3 was supposed to tick off in perhaps the registry or some other place so that Windows Store knows it's installed, and running at the latest revision, but somehow failed to do. If this is the case, I could see why Windows Store thinks something needs to be downloaded and installed. Unfortunately, there is no need to update or install anything.
I get tired of being notified about the update which I cannot make go away. I also am tired of having to have the program try to download whenever I update my other apps only to error out.
Does anyone have a fix to this? If a developer connected to this program sees this, could I be correct in my guess about Alienware Mobile Connect 3.3 not "ticking" whatever needs to be ticked to let Windows Store know that it is installed and at the latest revision?
I appriciate any help anyone can give those of us experiencing this problem.
Update September 19 =
The version I'm running of Windows 10 is Windows 10 Pro Version 21H1. The OS Build Number is: 19043.1237. It also is running the Windows Feature Experience Pack: 120.2212.3530.0. Actually, I just went to attempt to reinstall the apps in order to recreate the download error I was receiving, and this time it came through without an error for some reason. I then went ahead and tried to do a Windows Store update to see if the old problem would reoccur where it would think Alienware Mobile Connect wasn't at it's latest version and would try (and fail) to update itself. This time it saw no newer version out there and there was no problem anymore. So I guess you can consider this problem resolved in full.

Thanks in advance.
