3300MP projector - Remote not functioning

Hello,
 
I am having no luck in getting the remote to work on our 3300MP projector.  When we first purchased it it was working and when we used it the first few times it worked.  Now, all of a sudden, it is not working at all.  The small red light is lighting up oin the remote but I can't move the mouse, enter the menu or anything.  Am I missing something really easy or what?
 
Any and all help is appreciated.  Thanks.

    Mavv,

    Did you replace the two AA batteries in the remote? Reconnect the RS232 cable between the 3300 and the PC.

    Hi Chris,
     
    Sorry, I forgot to post back that I got it figured out.
     
    I did change the batteries and reconnected the cable.  Not sure but I think the replacement batteries I tried might have been bad because after changing them and still not getting it to work I took a break from it and when I came back to it I thought I would try another set of batteries and it worked??  Go figure.

    I too am having a problem with my remote. I have a 5100 and the remote worked great for about 8 months and now it works intermitently and is getting worse. I have replaced the batteries several times to no avail.
