Should I upgrade?

Hello,

My church has a 3300mp Projector, but we have to operate it from the front pew. We were wondering is there a lens we can purchase so that we can operate it from the back of the church and  it will show great on the screen or should we upgrade? We thought about wireless from laptop to projector but not sure how that would work since there is no USB  plugin on the projector.

What do you suggest?

Thanks

Most projectors in this form and size have similar ranges. While I need to check the specifics to be 100% certain, it's perhaps safe to say that your "upgrade" doesn't exist unless you go for a very different category -- and price range -- of projectors.

Wireless connection can work wonders as long as you aren't playing high-quality video and other fast-moving images. A wireless presentation gateway (preferrably 802.1g; they can be found on dlink.com or linksys.com) is designed for this purpose. It's physically connected to the projector using the same VGA port that you use on the laptop. Your laptop will wirelessly communicate with the presentation gateway and send images over.

What about that USB plug, you say? Oh well, it's only for peripheral access, such as the remote control. You won't miss it much. If you do, buy a presentation remote from targus.com or somebody else.
