The EMCDCA track is undergoing some changes.  While the E20-016 and E20-017 exams are being retired, the certifications associated with those exams (Data Center Architect (EMCDCA), Storage Networking Design Specialist & Data Center Architect (EMCDCA), Information Availability Design Specialist) will not expire.

If you have been studying for either the E20-016 or E20-017 exam, you will want to be sure to schedule your exam prior to 3/31/13.

Check the “News and Updates” link on our education.emc.com portal for upcoming announcements regarding this track and other changes/updates to the Proven Professional program.

Dear Kate,

many thanks for you reply.

I'm not native English speaker, but "retired" and "replaced" has different meanings, so I think that this statement:

"Important Program Update: Data Center Architect (EMCDCA) Specialist Exam Retirements

On March 31, 2013, the EMC Proven Professional Program will retire the following ‘open’ curriculum based Data Center Architect (EMCDCA) Specialist-level exams: "

means that after MArch 31, 2013 you are not able to sit for any EMCDcA's exams.

Are you agree ?

Best Regards

Loris

You should take a look at this document, which explains all the updates to the EMCDCA track:

Hello everyone!

I have a question. I have alredy EMCISA and I would like to get EMCDCA (for partnership requirements).

Do I need to pass only E20-026 Enterprise Storage Networking Design and after that I get EMCDCA?

Or maybe I must pass both, E20-026 Enterprise Storage Networking Design and E20-027 Enterprise Backup Recovery Design to get EMCDCA?

Regards

Hi Marcel, there are 2 EMC Proven Professional certifications under the EMCDCA track.

The Data Center Architect, Enterprise Backup Recovery Specialist Version 2.0 is earned by passing the E20-027 exam and holding a qualifying associate credential.

The  Data Center Architect, Enterprise Storage Networking Specialist Version 2.0 credential is earned by passing the E20-026 exam and holding a qualifying associate credential.

Your EMCISA is a qualifying associate credential for these 2 certifications.

Good luck!

Hi Debi, thank you for explanation.

To be shure. If for EMEA coutries, Silver Partnership  formal requirements is 1 resource for Technology Architect / Data Center Architect Specialist, and now I have EMCISA and I will pass E20-026 exam, that result will be Data Center Architect, Enterprise Storage Networking Specialist and I will meet the requirement for the formal requirements?

You're welcome Marcel.  I can't validate partner requirements or speak to that, but holding EMCISA and passing the E20-026 will earn you the credential of Data Center Architect, Enterprise Storage Networking Specialist Version 2.0 (EMCDCA).
