Booting PowerEdge R510 from M.2
I will be inheriting a PowerEdge R510 from work to use in my home lab. I'm interested in using it with all 8 3.5" HDD's for a NAS system and would like to know if there is anything that would work (remember this is just a home lab) that would allow me to boot this system from either M.2 drives, or SD. I'd like multiple devices so I can get a little redundancy with RAID 1, even if it's software RAID.
I was thinking about something like this:
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Thanks!

Zxarr,
The card wouldn't be supported in the server, the reason being is that first it is PCIE 3.0 and the server only supports 2.0, as well as I am not seeing any M.2 listed for the R510 either. As far as SSD, they are supported with the installation of the H700, or H200 raid controller.
Let me know if this helps.
