Dear Dell..

We bought Dell Server R450 and upgrade the processor, ram, and harddisk. Because sales marketing said Dell R740 is discontinued.

We need the supporting letter that explain about r740 discontinued.

Sorry I don't think there is such thing available. I suggest you to contact either Commercial department or Customer Care department from your country. This is Technical support, and sadly we cannot do such letters.

Hello,There is no document announced or published for servers for EOL or EOSL. Usually, lifespan of a server is around 5-7 years. Probably you will be receiving a renewal email or call as soon as the product's warranty is close to the end. In most cases, a warranty of up to 5 years is provided. On the more robust and common models, the warranty can be extended for +2 years and the scope can be extended up to 7 years in total. There may be priority support and limited support periods. Unfortunately, there is no announcement until which year the EOL or EOSL of individual models is specified. At the same time, there may be changes based on local laws in different countries locally. Sorry sir, We need a letter that contain information about Dell R740 has discontinued, not EOL letter.
