Issue erasing and reinstalling MC Server on a PowerEdge R720xd
I’m running a Dell PowerEdge R720xd that has a PERC H710 Mini using RAID10. The server was hit with Ransomeware a year ago and I’ve recently found a reason to repurpose it. I’ve been trying to erase and reinstall MS Server on the device but I keep running into errors trying to install the OS. I’ve went in and deleted the virtual disk that existed, re-created the virtual disk and initialized it. I tried running a program like KillDisk to clean and then used diskpart to clean the disk. Everytime I start to install MS Server back on the server it tells me “No drives were found. Clock load driver to provide a mass stoarage drive for installation”. Is there something I’m missing?

Hi,
What OS are you installing? It may need the RAID controller driver to install.

Extract the drivers and load them when it asks for drivers. https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=cfhfj&oscode=ws8r2&productcode=poweredge-r720xd

I'm trying to reinstall Windows Server 2008R2. That's the same OS it had on it before. It was hit with Ransomeware last year and we just now found a reason to repurpose it.
From what I read I needed to delete the RAID volume and the recreate it, which I did but when I put the Server2008 disk in and get to the option where I choose the drive to apply the OS to it says none are available.
