KVM 71PXP No Signal

Question

I'm the grunt that 'get's' to plug all the new hardware in at work. We're replacing our old Win NT servers before the end of the year. New Equipment includes: 3 Dell 1850 servers Win server 2003 (more servers to come later) Dell 71PXP KVM 15FP Rack Console Day one of install I saw Server 1 on the screen (1 imposed over desktop) but no KVM menu (Oscar I believe it's called) thought it was OK, called it a day and went home. Day two, crank up the monitor 'No Signal' checked all cables a couple times, all OK. Shut down server pluged in old CRT, KB & mouse, boot,I see desktop all looks good at server. old CRT, KB & mouse into KVM out, Server to KVM port 1, 'No Signal' 15FP directly into server, 'No Signal' Hummmm, Any ideas? Just a few questions to verify so that I can try to help you pin point your problem. So you are saying that you've taken a 15FP and plugged it directly into the server and gotten no signal, correct? And then you've plugged in an old CRT, keyboard, and mouse into the 71PXP KVM, plugged a server into port one of that KVM, and gotten no signal, correct? But when you plug an old CRT, keyboard, and mouse directly into the server, everything is fine, correct?

I just want to verify that you are having separate issues with the KVM and the 15FP where both are showing "no signal" and not with both of them used together.

Issue has been resolved, defective KVM, has been replaced, all's working fine now. Thanks for your time and help.
I don't know what the deal with the 15FP was, but seems to be fine now.

does anyone know if you can link two of these KVMs together using the serial port on the back plate?

Does your mouse work on the 15FP? What did you do to get it working. My keyboard works fine but my mouse does not work.
