Hello

This is a generic communication error, the driver is having issues loading. The message indicates it is attempting to load an EFI driver. Make sure the system is in UEFI boot mode, it cannot load an EFI driver in BIOS boot mode. If you are unable to enter the system BIOS to change the boot method because of the error then remove the H330.

Thanks

Good afternoon. I have an R330 with a PERC H330 adapter that from one moment to another is presenting the same error. Check the settings in setup and it is in UEFI boot mode. Anything else can be done, even to dispense with the controller..?

Auh70,

Would you clarify the OS installed on the server? I ask as I believe the issue is due to the H330 not supporting IOMMU, whcih you should be able to disable to resolve the error.

Let me know.

I've seen this error before in a few systems. In my case, when I selected finish I was brought to a text box to acknowledge the error. Then I was able to see the PERC menu and cleared all settings and rebooted. This took care of the error. Perhaps a similar approach will work for you.

Hello from what I see this sound like you need to replace the controller. I think your data will be okay though.

thank you all for the opportunity to post here, so, I have the same problem yesterday with 2 servers at the same time after running updates including firmware for the H330 controller, I think something more serious is happening with the controllers crashing after the firmware attempt, this is not new for me,  I saw this happening on other servers when patching them with the Microsoft recommended security updates and Dell's PERC firmware, maybe someone else having the same issue as me, now I have a complete system down and I'm trying to get it resolved asap, a card is on its way, but I can confirm for sure that this happened after the updates, not a coincidence. both servers are the same model and specs, in the past, I have been able to use an SD card and reflash it (a complete different system), hope that someone can bring some light to this issue.
