Hello,

Often BIOS updates fix memory errors. First, you can check the BIOS update https://dell.to/3rBOHPV

Can you check the server by checking the following titles about memory on page 92 https://dell.to/3rye84E

There is also the possibility of problems with the memories themselves, slots, or processor channels. But your warnings are constantly shifting on channels A, B, and D. You can check the BIOS update by performing Flea power drain:

1. Power the server down.

2. Disconnect server from all power cables, Network cables.

3. Hold down the power button continuously for at least 10 seconds.

4. Insert power cables and network cables back to the system.

5. Wait about 2 minutes before powering on server to give the iDRAC time to initialize.

6. Power the system on.

Let us know if this helps!

@Dell-ErmanO thank you for the suggestions. I had already updated the BIOS from 2.3.0 to the latest 3.4.1. That didn’t help.

I tied the Flea power procedure you mentioned, but that didn’t help. Since you mentioned the iDRAC, I updated that and performed the Flea power procedure again, but still there’s problems with the RAM.

The machine is populated with four 12-core CPUs. All memory slots are supposed to be filled with the same memory.. I have seen it show a full 256 GB before, but it is now consistently giving RAM errors.

Any other suggestions?

Would you confirm a couple things for us?

What are the specific errors you are seeing?

What is the part number on the dimm?

Is the server up to date on BIOS and iDrac?

Let us know.
