Missing Disk R720
Hello All,
Can anyone offer advice on the problem i currently have. One of the drives i have in my raid 6 has gone missing.
The drive has been replaced with no difference. this lights on the drive are showing all is ok but the RAID controller cant see it. I cant import the foreign disks due to the offline disk and obviously the data is critical.
My thought is to replace the controller.

I'm sorry to see that. Can you confirm the data is not accessible at this time?
I'd first recommend confirming the status of your backup. You indicate the data is critical. If you don't have a back up you may consider a Data Recovery company. Anything we do may make it difficult or impossible to retrieve the data if it is retrievable at all.
In these steps we will have all drives in or all drives out of the system.
Try shut down, remove all drives, boot to the controller and clear configuration. Exit controller and shut down.
Insert all Original drives and power up, go into the Controller and try Import configuration.
If you see a message about Preserved Cache then you will need to clear it on the VD Mgmt tab and retry import.
Let me know how it goes and post any new pictures if anything changes.
