Network driver update refuses to install due to Intel NC
Any one run into a failed install of NIC driver updates like Network_Driver_N5GYM_WN64_18.3.0_A00_02_730_2016.EXE that when you try to run manually, you get a pop-up that says "The installed version of Intel Network Connections is not supported for upgrades. You must uninstall it before installing this version"?
If you uninstall it, you lose connectivity to the box due to NIC configurations that are reset to DHCP.
Any help is appreciated.

Hello
If you look in the other versions section at the bottom of the download page there is an 18.5. I'm not sure if it is validated for your configuration. Our update packages have several checks that they run through before applying updates. If you are not using a valid configuration or hardware is not functional that it is running checks against then it is unlikely the update will run.
