New to Dell 720xd servers

I am new to using a Dell 720xd server and I m having issues with trying to get the initial setup and access to work for me.  I current am running bio 2.9.0 but my IDRAc is running 1.23.23 and when ever I try and access the web gui it keeps coming up with a message saying that the server is using a ssl protocol that is not supported.  I can access the server through putty but have no idea what I am doing in it and don’t want to brick the server.  If anyone can provide some assistance on how to correct the ssl issue or how to flash the updated idrac through usb it would be appreciated.

Your idrac 1.23 is 10 years old.. so use a firefox portable with a version which is 8-10 years old.  If you have another old poweredge around which is accessible you can take a look if its possible to configure iDRAC to support "http" (without "s") so you can access it with a modern browser and update it.

You can update your FW to 2.65 (https://www.dell.com/support/home/de-de/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=0ghf4&oscode=wst14&productcode=poweredge-r720xd) with the help of racadm or when you have luck with LCM.

I recommend Pale Moon it will support old iDRAC versions then just flash the update in accordance to the recommended procedure. don't just upgrade straight to the most current version.
